章节大纲

    • Thank you for teaching on our remotely enhanced APEx course, we appreciate your support. On this page you will find all the online materials that you will deliver remotely on the first day of the course. The materials are broken down in to three distinct sessions.  See further details below.

Also on this page you can access guidance on how to manage the case-based discussion session, as well as the educational considerations.

We encourage all members of the faculty to review the materials below prior to the course so you are aware of what the candidates will experience on the remote learning.

There are candidate and faculty handouts of key information and useful proformas that will be used throughout the day.  As faculty, you will want to access both sets.  These are linked below.

    • Thank you for teaching on our remotely enhanced APEx course. As we are all well aware, the impact of COVID-19 has been particularly heavy on training, and so the APEx working group, with support from ALSG, have been adapting the course for remote delivery.

Our aim is to enable our colleagues to fulfil their CPD requirements by making training more accessible during this time. We also want to make it easier for you to instruct on our courses by reducing the amount of time you are physically teaching. But while doing all of this it has been essential to use that we keep learning at the heart of all elements of the programme.

The remote day will be remote streamed and has been structured to encourage questions, engagement and involvement from the candidates through breakout discussions, polls and interactive lectures. To enhance the learning, we have asked candidates to bring with them, a case study which they will lead on, and will form the basis of a 5 minute discussion.  This will enable them to make connections between their learning through the programme and their personal experience of dealing with acute psychiatric emergencies.

I am available should you wish to talk through any of the elements in more detail or just want some extra support teaching in this way. My email address is kdenning@alsg.org so please drop me a note.
