ALSG welcomes today’s announcement by Matthew Hancock, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, of an investment of £3.5billion specifically aimed at primary and community healthcare*. 

This investment places emphasis on care closer to home, something ALSG is committed to through its SAFE programme. 

As a leading charity delivering training, ALSG has devised and developed a standardised, structured approach which shares common language through SAFE. The programme creates a seamless pathway for adults and children, ensuring that they receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time. 

With the announcement of this funding, this not only provides a much needed injection of monies, but raises awareness of the importance of primary and community healthcare.
